Rome
Pigneto is part of the Municipality V of Rome. It was formed from 1870 by the union of local residential settlements and it covers a triangular area among Porta Maggiore, Largo Preneste and Piazza della Marranella. During the II World War it has been active in the fight against fascism and nowadays it preserves a vocation towards civic participation, with active citizen groups, also involved in participatory processes laboratories. A good number of creative and cultural activities (co-working spaces, street artists, movie sets, music events) and good mobility assets (with a good predisposition towards sustainable means of transportation and green areas) are present.
