PUSH is among the 150 Italian associations that subscribe to New Mobility, the network for the intelligent revolution of urban transportation. The event will be held on Saturday May 4th at 2pm, in front of the Central Station in Milan: from here the first critical mass “on foot” in history will start, towards Piazza Duomo. Thousands of people for all parts of Italy – cyclists, skaters, pedestrians and commuters – who for one day will seize the urban space usually occupied by automobiles. A multitude of people tied to the will to create an alternative to private transportation. Also, among the participants were Libera, Slow Food, Legambiente, Italian Touring club, Coldiretti and #salvaiciclisti (save the cyclists) (click here for the complete list). The New Mobility is based on an intelligent management of city transportation, by choosing pedestrian or cycling routes, or public transportation. This is the goal of the meeting with PUSH, who has developed the project trafficO2: a smartphone app created to reduce city traffic and pollution, by taking advantage of interconnection between citizens and rewarding the use of sustainable transportation systems. “We subscribed to the New Mobility network with great enthusiasm because this is the change that we have always intended to create in our city” – Salvatore Di Dio, president of PUSH, stated – “A valuable occasion to participate, on a national scale, on the theme of sustainable collective transportation”.
